The Melons box and single-serve pack with gummies and real fruit

Imagine everything your kid needs in a day came in a convenient snack pack they begged you for:

MultivitaminsVitamin D3 (600 IU), B12, active folate, and chelated zinc. The everyday vitamins and minerals for growing bodies and immune support, in the active or chelated forms the body can actually use. We publish the full panel. for growth and immunity.

Choline250 mg a day, 45% of the Daily Value and an excellent source. Choline builds acetylcholine, the neurotransmitter behind memory and attention, yet roughly 9 in 10 kids fall short (it lives mostly in egg yolks and organ meats). Most gummies skip it because a real dose is bulky. Five gummies exist to fit it. for brain development.

Fiber and a probiotic3 g of prebiotic fiber plus a 1-billion-CFU spore-forming probiotic that survives the trip to the gut. Sweetened with monk fruit, never cane sugar or high-fructose corn syrup, so it's gentle on little tummies and easier on their teeth. for a healthy tummy.

Pack it in their bag, or hand it to them on their way to school.

That was the simple idea behind Melons.

Easier said than done.
To make something I'd be proud to give my kids, we had to get two things absolutely perfect.

The taste has to be irresistible.

If you're only taking one gummy, a bit bland and chalky is ok. But fruit snacks you eat daily need to meet a higher bar.

Our flavor R&D: shelves of flavor jars and trays of gummy iterations Me in the lab holding a jar of our gummies
We tried countless flavors (and still are)

The supplements (actives) have to work.

The gummy industry is notorious for lying about what their products contain. Why? Surprisingly it's not excessively expensive to buy the actives, but it is to dose them correctly in the production process to make sure every gummy does what the label says.

So I made sure to be there for every step of the R&D process. I sourced the actives and found an incredible gummy nutraceuticals maker here locally in the US.

Started in my kitchen
Me in a commercial kitchen with trays of gummies setting
Then a real facility
Inside the R&D lab where Melons gummies are made
Now, real production

Get all that right, and you'll see the difference.

Jason, founder of Melons

About the founder

I've loved candy my whole life. As a kid I blew every allowance at Bulk Barn, scooping gummies into bags by the pound, and it never really wore off. I've spent my career building and scaling startups as a go-to-market operator, and when I became a dad I finally pointed all of it at the one thing I actually care about now: making candy worth giving my own kid.
